Demand Vs Supply

Simple Rule which states that the value of goods is more when demand is more and supply is less on the other hand the value of goods is less when demand is less and supply is more.....

This rule applicable in every field, so as the 'Engineering'. When you see any social media platform they are flooded with the memes and trolls on Engineers. Surprisingly those trolls or memes are created by the Engineers itself. The one who creates such meme is the same person who is unemployed after completing engineering is most of the cases. There was a time when dad used to say ' Mera beta Engineer banegaa' (My son will become engineer) but right now the scenario is different ' Beta kuch bhi bano par engineer na bano' (Don't be an engineer).

Why this scenario changed ? Going back to year 2005 when there were very less elite engineering colleges as well as the seats for engineering were also lesser. Students used to fight for the seats in engineering. This was the real situation. Every parents used to think if my ward gets into engineering his life will be set. There were a news from many colleges that our student got placed in XYZ company with a grand package of 50Lakh/60lakh/1CR (INR) that too in third year of engineering itself. Wonderful isn't it!!!!!!!!!!!
Engineering was a trending field at that time. So government of India gave sanction to many engineering colleges  known as Unaided colleges (Non-Govt). Many colleges were started from year 2007-2008.

Due to tremendous increase in the no. of colleges the no. of students graduating every year with the same degree increased. This created the change, not every student coming out of the college was employable, not every college provided placements.
The colleges with tag line ' we provide 100% placements ' got converted into 'we provide 100% placements if you are eligible '

Anyway a person with good knowledge will get a job after completing an engineering but what about other, who were forced to take engineering by their parents as well as due to peer pressure they came to engineering.

Knowing a your true self and then getting into field is the very important but our education system as well as the society don't believe in this fact. Data shows we are having more than 3500 engineering colleges in India. India is the largest producer of engineers.
I am using the word producer because same as any commercial product they are mass manufactured.
Every engineer carries same degree, almost same knowledge so don't you feel they are mass manufactured????????????

Every one is talking about the problem which engineer faces after graduating but very few are ready to find the solution. Solution for this problem can be very easy or it can be very difficult to execute. Lets not think that government will change this scenario and after that every thing will change. Don't be depended on others.
If your are into engineering after reading this blog of mine don't get upset. Take this in very positive way. Its Better to take a ' Preventive action than to take a Corrective action '.
Analyzing the situation and taking right action will surely help in this condition.
So Let me tell you one thing whatever extra efforts you take to excel any skill related to you field other than academics will surely make you employable.

Let's Start(up)

I totally believe in the fact that you are very well aware of the word called startup. Most of the people from technical background as well as from non technical background know this word. Now a days it seems to be very common for the people living the cities like Bangalore (Silicon Valley of  India) which is now emerging as a start up hub in  India. But this culture is not there in many other cities of India.

When I was in my 2nd Year of Engineering (2016)  I came across a various applications in google play store like Uber, Ola , Zomato and many others. With curiosity I downloaded those apps and I was totally amazed after using their services. I am a Mechanical engineer so, I always used to think how those applications are made, How the algorithm  of that application is made, how they are managing the whole system. My mind was full of questions. At the start I used to think these applications are built by the well established industries like Google or Microsoft. When it comes to computer or technology only this two names were there in my mind.
I used to wonder How these companies are earning through such services?
How they developed their infrastructure ? From where they got Money for this ?
One day I came across a name called Ritesh Agarwal (Founder of OYO), he was just 24 years old at that time. When I searched about him on the google I was amazed that how this guy started a company.
On the same day I said to my self That I will also do something Like that . I was very much sure about what I decided, even I started searching for resources but there were very less resources available. So after couple of days I got Fed up and stopped everything (I never gave up the Idea) but I stopped. Started focusing on studies as there were a hype of college placement in my college. Professors always used to say study well, score good marks so that you can easily get placed in the MNC's. I started preparing for the interviews , aptitude exams, GD and what not?????

After some-days a thought came in my mind that if  I am here in engineering that too mechanical engineering only to score well in exam by analyzing Previous year question papers then What is the difference between 11th-12th and engineering.

Due to this question again I stopped................................................

I feel like getting stuck somewhere is not a bad thing, Its a good thing because you have started thinking.
